What is WorldCat? 

WorldCat.org is a resource for locating unique, trustworthy materials that you often can't find anywhere except in a library. By connecting thousands of libraries' collections in one place, WorldCat.org makes it easy to browse catalogs of thousands of public and university libraries from one search box. Materials are mostly described in English.

Here is a brief introduction to the keywords that can be used for searching international material about performance anxiety and musician's health from WorldCat database. To obtain accurate search results in a WorldCat search, it is recommended to use terms from the Library of Congress Subject Headings (LCSH). 

Example

For the search, choose one of the keywords mentioned below. You can specify your search by adding "and music" with the keyword.:

  • Performance anxiety

  • Physiology (you can also join the keyword with the field of science, for example music – physiological aspects or singing – physiological aspects)

  • Health and hygiene (with occupation, for example: violinists – health and hygiene)

When you add a determining keyword, you define your search to deal only with the performance anxiety of a musician. Without that, the results of the search are much larger and wider and can handle anything about the topic of anxiety.
