Search from an open repository

What is an open repository?

An open repository or open access repository is a digital platform that holds research output and provides free, immediate and permanent access to research results for anyone to use, download and distribute. The contents of repositories vary significantly depending on the organization.

Open access repositories can be institutional, like Taju, which is the repository of the University of Arts Helsinki. Materials uploaded to Taju are produced at the University. They include for example theses, artistic research, self-archived copies of research articles, publication series and educational materials.

Example

Question: Find information about stage fright from Taju.

Write the keyword in the search box on the front page of Taju (picture below) and click "Search". You can also try other synonymous keywords, like performance anxiety etc., to get best results.

When searching like this, the search focuses on everything that is uploaded to Taju (theses, articles etc.) If you want to narrow down the results, you can choose filters from the left side of the search box. If you choose to filter by material type, Taju gives you these options (picture below)

You can also filter your search by thesis type, publication series or journal, study subject or availability.

Remember, it is always recommended to familiarize yourself with the repository's own search instructions before making any searches.
